I’m Kasha Malyckyj, facialist and founder of Syla Skin, based in North London.
'Syla' - meaning strength in Ukrainian - began with a simple idea: to create the kind of treatment experience I’d always looked for myself - personal, grounded, and genuinely helpful. My interest in skin started in my teens, after dealing with acne and learning firsthand how closely it can be tied to confidence and well-being.
I worked in fashion and film for several years, but over time, I found myself wanting to do something that felt more meaningful and helped people in a more direct, personal way. Skincare had always been an interest, and shifting into this work felt like a natural step.
Syla is about thoughtful, tailored facials that prioritise both skin health and the person behind it; creating space to feel cared for, understood, and confident in your own skin.
